The areas covered is 800 sq.km. This part of the country is the heart of rice cultivation and you can see stretches of paddy fields all across the state. Kedah has been conquered by Thai and British through history and you can see the remnant of a past long forgotten era. You can travel from Kedah to Thailand by train and road through Perlis. Less visited local sites include Ulu Muda Eco Reserve.
