The Rocks Sydney

Description

Rocks is the historical part of the town with some of the pubs dating back to 1865. The original area is built on sandstone outcrops along the Sydney Harbour. Cumberland Street, Harrington Street and Hickson Road have plenty of entertainment venues, old pubs, hotels, bars and restaurants.  

Argyle is popular with younger crowds and attracts large crowds over the week. The Australian,  The Glenmore and Lord Nelson is a regular watering hole for plenty of Sydneysiders. Book the historic haunted tour to explore the dark secrets of some hidden spot in this part of the town. For a more thrilling experience book a bridge climb on Cumberland Street. 

Observatory Hill provides an amazing view of Sydney Harbour and is popular with couples for wedding photography.

How to get to the Rocks?

The rocks is easily accessibly by bus, tram and ferry. An Opal Card is required for public transport in Sydney. The card works with touch and go on all modes of transport.
