During my last visit to Phuket, I spend a couple of days in the off-peak season (October). The rain is quite frequent during this tie of the year. Unluckily, the day I picked for the day tour was a rainy one. I decided to take the tour despite the rain.

A typical tour starts with collecting all the passengers from the various hotels and guest-housed in Patong and Karon.

The first stop along the way is a very scenic Karon Lookout that commands amazing views of the western side of Phuket overlooking the ocean. The amazing views allow you to see a number of beach localities including Karon and Patong.

The next stop takes you to meet the baby elephant Suzy on the way to Big Buddha Statue. The beautiful statue of Buddha is quite admirable with its calm posture and position on the top of the hill. The location has a general atmosphere of calmness and peace.

The van drives through the hilly terrain of Karon hillside and reaches a massive Chalong Temple which is a masterpiece of architecture. After spending some 30 minutes in this location, the next step along the way is a cashew nut farm, that specializes in packaged cashew nuts in various flavours.
The last part of the tour takes you to old Phuket town. Enjoy shopping at the unique shops and take a break at one of many nice gourmet coffee shops built in shophouses in the old Phuket town.

How much does a day tour in Phuket Cost?
A day tour cost is about 500 Bhat on average. A visit to the Tiger Kingdom and the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary has an extra cost.
